Nikki Vargas is a Travel Journalist with bylines in Vice, Roads & Kingdoms, Food & Wine, INSIDER Travel, Matador Network, The Huffington Post and more. Previously, Nikki was the Travel Editor of Culture Trip, overseeing US editorial operations for the travel genre. As Travel Editor, Nikki wrote for the site, oversaw contributors and co-produced/hosted the original Culture Trip series, Hungerlust, in addition to other videos. As Editor, Nikki represented Culture Trip as a guest commentator on Cheddar TV Live and as a speaker at the New York Times Travel Show (2017).

In addition, Nikki is the Founder of The Pin the Map Project, voted a top 100 travel blog of 2015. As Founder and Travel Blogger, Nikki has spoken at the New York Travel Fest (2015/16), Women's Travel Fest (2016/18), The New York Times Travel Show (2016) and NPR Weekend Edition (2016).
